Offer letter format, filled in for you
Type the terms and the offer letter writes itself, with pay stated the way Indian candidates read it. Change any words, then print it on your letterhead or save it as a PDF.

On insiderOne the candidate opens the offer from a link, accepts it with one click, and becomes an employee with their joining checklist ready.
Try it free for 14 daysSay what's certain and what isn't
Write fixed pay and variable pay separately. A single CTC figure reads as guaranteed, and the gap shows up in the first payslip.
Give a date to accept by
An open-ended offer leaves both sides guessing. A week is common; say so in the letter.
Keep the promises in writing
Anything agreed in conversation — a laptop, insurance, a relocation allowance — belongs in the letter, so nobody has to remember it later.
Questions
What should an offer letter in India include?
The role, the joining date, pay (fixed, variable and any joining bonus), where and how they'll work, who they report to, probation, notice period, and the date to accept by.
Is CTC the same as fixed pay?
No. CTC adds variable pay to fixed pay. The letter states both, and the total, so the candidate sees what is certain and what depends on performance.
Is an offer letter the same as an appointment letter?
No. The offer letter is the proposal the candidate accepts. Many companies issue a fuller appointment letter on joining, with the detailed terms of employment.
Do you keep what I type?
No. The letter is drafted in your browser and nothing you type is sent to us.
