Hi, I'm SCOUT, insiderOne's SI sourcing agent.

The sourcing agent that surfaces proven candidates first, and labels the rest.

Tell SCOUT who you're hiring, or pick a role you've posted. Approve the brief once, and it searches every day, writes to the right people within your limits, screens the interested ones and hands you a shortlist.

14-day free trial of the workspace. SCOUT is in early access and comes with your company's approval: ₹2,499 +18% GST / $249 / AED 449 excl. VAT per active brief a month, one brief being one role sourced. 2 a month are included on Business.

Backend engineer in Bengaluru with verified Go…

Proof, not claims

SCOUT shows what has been proven: skills verified by evidence and, where a member has one, an iOPC score. Anything only claimed, or found on a public profile, is labelled as such.

Hi Priya, Northwind is hiring a backend engineer…

Say it in a sentence

Describe the role in your own words. In the chat, every email SCOUT drafts waits for your Send. Approve a brief and it writes on its own, inside the caps you set.

Outreach · Priya Raman

  1. Day 0

First email, inside the brief's daily cap

  2. Day 3

One automatic follow-up, then it stops

  3. Now

    Priya replied, interested

Outreach that knows when to stop

Each person gets the first email and at most one follow-up, sent after 3 days with no reply unless you change it. Then SCOUT stops. People can answer in a sentence, and every email carries an unsubscribe.

How it works

From “we need to hire someone” to a shortlist you can interview

  1. 01

Say what you need, or pick a role

Plain English works. Pick a posted role and SCOUT takes its must-haves from the role's hiring standard. It proposes a brief: who, where, how many a day, and the first email.

  2. 02

    SCOUT searches, every day

Your past applicants, insiderOne members and public sources such as GitHub and Stack Overflow. Every result says where it came from, and whether SCOUT may write to them or you send the intro.

  3. 03

    It writes, answers, screens

It writes within your caps and answers questions about the role. It invites the interested to apply, then sends the screening interview in the role's language: English, Hindi or Hinglish (Hindi–English mix), or the candidate's choice.

  4. 04

    You get a shortlist

Ranked, with the reasons, the transcript and anything worth asking about. You run the final rounds. SCOUT never rejects anyone. When a brief closes, it tells the people who engaged, and aren't in your hiring, how it ended.

What runs on its own

What SCOUT does by itself, and what waits for you

Approving a brief is the one decision that sets it going. Everything after that stays inside what you approved.

On its own, once you approve a brief

  • Searching its sources every day
  • First emails, inside the brief's caps
  • One follow-up when there's no reply, after 3 days unless you change it, and only while the rule is on in Automations
  • Answering questions about the role on each person's own page
  • Inviting the interested to apply, and sending the screening interview when the brief includes one
  • A closing note, once the brief closes, to everyone who engaged and isn't still in your hiring

Waits for a person

  • Approving the brief, its caps and its first email
  • Resuming a paused brief, or widening one
  • Every email SCOUT drafts in the chat
  • Every intro to someone SCOUT may not email: you send it from your own account
  • Passing on anyone, and every final round

Every step SCOUT takes, and every decision a person made on its proposals, is on the Agent activity page, with an export.

Limits

Caps on every person, every brief and every company

SCOUT checks them before every first email. A brief that reaches a cap waits, or stops at its total.

2

Emails to one person before they answer

The first email and one follow-up from a brief, then nothing. People who answer hear more: the screening once they apply, and how it ended.

5 / 50

A brief's caps, a day and in all

The defaults. You set them on the brief, up to 50 a day and 500 in all.

200

A company's ceiling in any 24 hours

Across SCOUT, Member search and bulk sends. A company approved automatically starts at 25 a day for its first 7 days.

2 in 7 days

Courtesy is a rule, not a setting

A brief waits when 2 other companies on insiderOne wrote to someone in the last 7 days, and tries again later.

Who it leaves out

People SCOUT never writes to

A brief drops these people before anyone is contacted.

  • Already applied to this role
  • Hired by your company
  • In your hiring for another role
  • Said no to your company before
  • Already on your board
  • Already in this brief
  • Asked insiderOne not to be found or contacted

Public profiles: you send the intro

Where a source's terms don't allow cold email, as on GitHub, SCOUT drafts the intro and you send it from your own account. Research profiles are links only.

A licensed index, US only

Where insiderOne has People Data Labs switched on, SCOUT emails people from it only in the US. Anyone else it finds there is an intro you send yourself.

Questions it never asks

Never ask about age, date of birth, graduation year, religion, caste, marital status, pregnancy, children, criminal record, or what someone earns now or earned before. If they bring one up, don't record it and move on.

What candidates see

Every person knows who wrote, why, and how to stop it

The words below are the ones SCOUT sends, taken from the product. On the page every email links to, SCOUT says it is AI, and that a person reads.

The end of a first email to an insiderOne member

Sent by SCOUT, insiderOne's AI sourcing agent, for Northwind.

SCOUT, insiderOne's sourcing agent, found you through your insiderOne profile while searching for Northwind.

It holds your name, your Career ID, your profile's headline, photo, location, skills and score, any earlier application to this company, and anything you write to SCOUT. It stays until you delete it.

See what it holds, delete it, or stop all contact: insiderone.in/s/…

Sent by insiderOne (Aurist Private Limited, Sankardev Road, North Lakhimpur, Assam 787001, India) for Northwind.

Unsubscribe and no company on insiderOne reaches out to you again.

SCOUT, an AI agent, not a person; a recruiter at Northwind reads this

What we hold about you

Delete thisNever contact me

One unsubscribe, every company

One click on any email's unsubscribe, and no company on insiderOne reaches out to that person again. It takes effect at once.

Delete this, or never contact me

On their own page, a person can delete what SCOUT holds for your company at once. Confirmed from their own inbox, the deletion, or a stop on all contact, reaches every company on insiderOne.

Told plainly

Candidates who apply are told where AI is used on the role, that a person makes every decision, and how to ask for a person instead.

Screening and your standard

A first round in the language of the job, decided by a person

In the language of the job

Set it per role: English, Hindi or Hinglish (Hindi–English mix), or let the candidate pick. Sales, support and field roles that run in Hindi or Hinglish get a screening that does too.

Marked by SI, decided by you

SI marks each screening answer against the role. Those marks are 30 of the 100 points in SCOUT's order, shown beside the transcript and the reasons. Passing on anyone is a person's click.

Held in New York City

On a New York City role with no independent bias audit from the last 365 days, no automatic screening runs and SCOUT shows no score, under Local Law 144.

Built on your hiring standard

A brief for a posted role takes its must-haves and nice-to-haves from the role's approved hiring standard, or its skill tags until one is approved. Edit the standard later, and an approved brief keeps its plan.

Sources

Most sourcing tools find you more people. SCOUT finds you fewer, better ones.

Evidence decides the order. On a tie, your past applicants come first, then insiderOne members, then public profiles. Every result says where it came from. SCOUT never searches LinkedIn.

Applied, not drawn

Every chip above the results is a constraint SCOUT actually honoured

City and years are applied as filters. Titles are a ranking hint, labelled as one. The word “verified” in your sentence turns verified-only on.
